Background
Rob has lived most of his life in Ottawa, for 15 years in the Old Ottawa South area of the Zone, previously in its Sandy Hill area and also downtown. He is himself a Glebe Collegiate Institute alumnus. His spouse Patricia and he are proud to have their three children attend Zone 9 elementary and secondary schools. Rob is a senior IT consultant and project leader for large government accounting and other systems. He is keenly interested in public policy issues and has an MA in Philosophy. He is a strong supporter of public education and an advocate for genuine Board partnership with its communities and for removing barriers to student learning. He has this previous year advocated on secondary school reform, for better community consultation, school and daycare funding needs, city budget alternatives, local school traffic danger and on cultural sensitivity in schools.
